Producing products of the highest quality and efficacy, is our number one priority. All our products are made in Germany and all our ingredients are freshly purchased. We sample new batches from our suppliers and choose the best quality available, personally tasting and testing to ensure these are not compromised.
All of or products are based on herbs; each herb is different, with variations from year to year in crops, depending on weather conditions, location and cultivation methods.
Every plant has its own DNA, and as such we test every batch from different suppliers and choose the best in terms of quality, smell, and taste. Thus, we ensure that the herbs are rich in essential oils and other valuable nutrients.
Where do our ingredients come from?
Depending on weather conditions and cultivation, our ingredients come from various locations around the world. Many of our ingredients come from Europe. Our lavender, for example, comes from France, arguably the best region for lavender.
Other ingredients are unavailable in Europe and so must be sourced elsewhere; for example cinnamon is sourced from Madagascar. We source exclusively from certified producers to ensure the high quality and functionality of our herbs.
98% of our herbs are organically certified. Some ingredients are hard to get in organic quality for the quantities we produce- we’re still small and growing, and we have to balance the cost of production at such a small scale. Some wild herbs are again generally difficult to get in organic quality. We’re working hard on getting all herbs organically certified and strive for full organic certification in 2018.
Where do our oils come from?
Our body care products are made in Hamburg. The essential oils as well as the carrier oils (almond oil, for example) are sourced from our partners in England and Germany. They are “cruelty free” (not tested on animals), vegan and 100% natural – there are no fillers, preservatives or chemicals added. We also aim to achieve organic certification for all our body care products in 2018.
